EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF PALM BEACH COUNTY ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD CHAIR
Lisa King, Verdex Construction’s Vice President of Development, to Lead Foundation
(Lake Worth, Fla.) – The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County has announced that Lisa King, Verdex Construction’s Vice President of Development, has been elected the nonprofit’s newest Board Chair. King succeeds Lisa Park who chaired the organization’s board of directors since 2023.
“We are excited and honored to welcome Lisa King as our new Board Chair,” said James Gavrilos, President and CEO of the Education Foundation. “Lisa brings a remarkable blend of business acumen, strategic vision and deep community commitment to this role. Her leadership experience and passion for education will be invaluable as we continue to expand our impact across Palm Beach County. We look forward to the great strides we will make together under her guidance.”
King, a resident of Boca Raton, has worked in the South Florida construction market for over 25 years, elevating corporate images and business opportunities. She helps to set the strategic direction for the company and is responsible for developing and managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, revenue generation and strategic partnership development. She also oversees corporate branding and marketing, manages the company reputation and culture, and leads the effort to ensure Verdex has strong representation in the industry and the community. In addition to her professional role, King has been an active leader with the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County since 2021, previously serving as Development Chair. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising.

The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County was founded in 1984 and awards grants, supports innovative programs and scholarships, and provides necessary school supplies and resources from Red Apple Supplies, the Foundation’s signature program.
