The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce invites all new members to a complimentary orientation and best practices class. Attendees will receive information about the Chamber's structure, events, community involvement, member benefits and resources, advocacy, and more.  In addition, we will review the various ways in which members can engage with our Chamber to ensure they are getting the most out of their Chamber membership. 

: Manatee Lagoon – An FPL Eco-Discovery Center™ will celebrate its second anniversary with its first-ever ManateeFest 2018, featuring a line-up of fun family events over the Feb. 3-4 weekend. Visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy complimentary face painting, a photo experience featuring Mia the Manatee and a SEASonal selfie station, a marine life-themed coloring station, an interactive H2O bus exhibit, facility tours and more. Activities include a Manatee Lagoon passport game, where participants receive a passport booklet and are awarded stamps based on how many ManateeFest stations they experience throughout the facility to potentially win a prize. Additionally, Manatee Lagoon will host a book signing with Robert Scott Thayer, author of the “Kobee Manatee” series of children’s publications highlighting the marine adventures of Kobee the manatee in conjunction with the day’s activities. This event features free admission and parking. Food and beverages are available for purchase.

Our Mission: To promote a healthy, active lifestyle and provide organized opportunities for physical fitness, wellness education, and psycho-social empowerment among Breast Cancer Survivors and their supporters through the sport of dragon boating.

Team SOS PBC members are from all walks of life and range in age from 30s to 70s with varied interests and fitness levels. Each of us is a powerful example that women can lead a full and vigorous life after treatment for breast cancer. SOS PBC offers an active, health-giving, life affirming opportunity for breast cancer survivors. We are a survivor group whose focus is on living, rather than on the disease that brought us together.

Business Savvy Women is a Forum where professional business women come together in a constructively challenging setting to discuss a range of issues that arise in their business and professional environment. 
 
The objective of the Forum is to empower professional business women to develop and execute solutions to overcome the challenges they face in their business or professional environment. In practical terms, women will be able to draw from the wealth of knowledge in the room to develop and execute innovative solutions to successful resolve their challenges. 
 
Each Forum is presented by the Women in Business Council of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce will be facilitated by Cheryl Gowdie, Business Coach.  This will be in accordance with a set of protocols designed to create a thought-provoking, confidential and non-judgmental environment.
 
The Forum is targeted for professional business women who have acquired a level of experience and expertise that will add value to the group.

For the second part of the tour, guests will be brought beyond the gates of our turtle yard for a “meet and greet” with our sea turtle patients. The tour also offers an inside tour of our hospital. This is the only experience where we offer a behind the scenes hospital tour! Receive a special Valentine’s Day adoption per registrant. Advance reservation required.

Our Naturalist Series is back! Join the River Center on Thursday, February 15th for our Nature Walk through Riverbend Park. Walk along the guided paths and immerse yourself in this local natural area. Interested participants should wear closed toed shoes, comfortable clothing and bring plenty of water. Join the River Center on Friday, February 16th for our upcoming Home School Workshop! Our February workshop is entitled “Ocean Currents and Plastic Voyages” and will include a discussion of the path of plastics in the ocean. You won’t want to miss this great program! This drop off only program is designed for children ages 10-17 and registration is required to attend. Registered participants are asked to bring a water bottle, wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothing. The cost for this program is $3 per child, including tag-along children. Time: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Cost: $10 to register; refunded when class is completed The River Center continues to collaborate with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” to provide a series of Boating Safely Classes targeted specifically to young boaters in our community. These classes are provided through a generous sponsorship by the AustinBlu Foundation, a not-for-profit dedicated to raising awareness and promoting educational programs to improve boater safety. There is no cost for this class, however there is a deposit required to reserve a seat. The deposit of $10 will be refunded in full to all students who complete the class. Recommended for children 12 years and up.

Join Lynne Wells and her group of Blue Friends on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. for the monthly beach clean-up. Following 1-hour of cleaning the beach, join us for a light breakfast sponsored by Whole Foods Market in Palm Beach Gardens. Bring a bucket to collect the trash and garden gloves if you have them. Help us keep the very beach that our turtles call home free from trash and litter. Complimentary coffee by Oceana Coffee will be served.

Quantum House is taking over the Young Art Collectors tent all weekend long at ArtiGras Fine Art Experienced Festival Saturday, February 17th to Monday, February 19th 10 am - 6 pm (5 pm on 2/19) in Abacoa, Jupiter. The Oxbridge Speaker Series presents Mr. Hakeem Rahim, Harvard graduate, poet, wellness expert and acceptance ambassador on Tuesday, February 20, at 7 p.m. Mr. Rahim will address self-acceptance and resilience as the foundation for spreading kindness and compassion. A gift of Keiser University Professor Dr. Ralph Kruse and Haven Innovation, the Cox 8 Table is developed to address spinal concerns from neck to lower back, allow mobilization in all spinal ranges of motion, and provide opportunities for full spinal application. • From low back and leg pain (sciatica), to neck and arm pain (cervical radiculopathy), to post-surgical continued pain to pain related to pregnancy, the Cox Flexion Distraction’s published articles list is constantly increasing with satisfying patient outcomes and documented biomechanical and physiologic changes. • This unique Cox 8 force table is the first of its kind and the only one currently used in a university in the United States. You may not know it, but Florida has been invaded! On February 24, 2018, join us to raise awareness of invasive species in south Florida during our Invasive Species Awareness Day Removal Event at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants will join LMC staff as we conduct a hands-on invasive plant removal project after a brief presentation on Invasive Species of south Florida. Team SOS PBC members are from all walks of life and range in age from 30s to 70s with varied interests and fitness levels. Each of us is a powerful example that women can lead a full and vigorous life after treatment for breast cancer. SOS PBC offers an active, health-giving, life affirming opportunity for breast cancer survivors. We are a survivor group whose focus is on living, rather than on the disease that brought us together.

Experience the serenity of Yoga with Mary Veal, Kula Yoga Shala, on the Lighthouse Deck at sunset every Monday. This is an all levels class and beginners are welcomed and encouraged! FREE “Science for Seniors” Lecture Tuesdays at 2 p.m. Featuring Speaker, Paul A. Brown, M.D. Dr. Brown will cover everything from sea turtle biology to your biology and health. These 1-hour lectures are offered every Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m. and topics vary each week in a four-part cycle. Attend all four sessions to receive your free graduation gift and a tour inside our sea turtle hospital! Jupiter Medical Center will provide complimentary coffee and donuts to attendees. The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce invites you to join them for their monthly Business After Hours at Sandhill Crane Golf Club in their new Clubhouse! Take in the spectacular sunset views and witness the Jupiter Light turning on to illuminate the night sky. Visitors get an inside look at the nuts & bolts of a working lighthouse watchroom.
