Mindful Moments Yoga with Sara Beth Force
Yoga Class Details •Days: Tuesday evening •Time: Tuesday from 5:45 – 7:00 p.m •Manatee Lagoon has yoga mats for all classes, students can bring their own if they prefer •Cost: FREE, but advance registration is required •Sign-ups open weekly for this class on Friday at 9 a.m. •Registration caps at 50 students, students must be 21 years of age or older Sara Beth Force received her yoga teacher training from The Kripalu Center in Massachusetts, one of the top five facilities of its kind in the world. Sara Beth has taught at many places during her extensive career, and she has also operated her own yoga studio. Sara Beth’s husband Ed Force is also a yoga teacher and he currently teaches at PGA Resort and other community venues. Sara will be the main teacher of this class, but her husband Ed will cover for her when she is out for several weeks in April or in the future as thSaraBethForcephoto.pnge need arises.

Mindful Moments Pilates-Rollology Class
The Saturday Morning Pilates-Rollology Class was developed by Second Generation Master Pilates Instructor Alyson Limehouse. This class uses a cutting-edge discipline that starts with the core using a foam roller. The ROLLOLOGY technique stems from the Feldenkreis method and Pilates, which work together by stretching and strengthening the abdominals to properly align and support the body for optimal posture. Day: Every Saturday morning •Time: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. •Manatee Lagoon has mats and foam rollers for all classes, students can bring their own if they prefer •Cost: FREE, but advance registration is required •Sign-ups open weekly for this class on Tuesday at 9 a.m. prior to the Saturday morning class •Registration caps at 15 students, students must be 21 years of age or older

Hike Through History
Discover the topography and natural history of Jupiter’s National Conservation Lands historic site. This 2 mile trek passes through historic points of interest on the 120-acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. The hike departs from the flag pole at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum and is weather dependent. Program is open to adults and children-minimum age 5, ages 13 & under must be accompanied by an adult that is at least 18 years old. Hiker’s footwear, active wear, a hat, and a full water bottle or canteen should be carried. Admission is free but space is limited-RSVP required 561-747-8380 X101. The Pilates and foam rolling class will be taught by Alyson Limehouse who has taught hundreds of people over her career. She currently teaches on Palm Beach and does private classes throughout the area. Along with being a certified Pilates teacher and owner operator of her own Sunset Pilates business for many years, she began teaching foam roller group classes in 2009. She also certifies rollology instructors. Her class at Manatee Lagoon will offer a combination of both Pilates and rollology. Join us for pilates classes against the beautiful calming backdrop of Lake Worth Lagoon. Age limit is 21 years and up.

Children ages 6 to 12 are invited to come have fun with art and science on Saturday afternoons at Manatee Lagoon. Registration for each Artful Learning class will open one week in advance at 3pm – spots fill quickly so we recommend signing up as soon as you can. Manatee Lagoon requires that parents stay on site. Seating, as available, as well as free Wi-Fi.

We are looking for Breast Cancer Survivors to join Team SOS PBC (Save Our Sisters Palm Beach County) Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team. Palm Beach County’s First and Only Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team.
Our Mission: To promote a healthy, active lifestyle and provide organized opportunities for physical fitness, wellness education, and psycho-social empowerment among Breast Cancer Survivors and their supporters through the sport of dragon boating.
Team SOS PBC members are from all walks of life and range in age from 30s to 70s with varied interests and fitness levels. Each of us is a powerful example that women can lead a full and vigorous life after treatment for breast cancer. SOS PBC offers an active, health-giving, life affirming opportunity for breast cancer survivors. We are a survivor group whose focus is on living, rather than on the disease that brought us together.
No experience necessary—we will train you!

Everyone is welcome on the first Sunday of the month. Talks are scheduled from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. with time for a question-and-answer session afterward. We will exhibit field work conducted by our Manatee Masters, never-before-seen video and photography celebrating the ecosystem and the diverse and special aquatic life inhabiting the Lake Worth Lagoon and lots more. Ample seating is provided. Advance registration is encouraged, but we welcome walk-ins as well.

Loggerhead's Beach Clean-Up: Firework Debris
Each year, there are many coastal celebrations around July 4th that leave unwanted debris on our beaches and coastal parks from celebratory fireworks, streamers and/or balloons. Join LMC staff and volunteers as we trek our local beaches and collect discarded debris to keep our oceans clean, blue and trash free! If making a cleaner ocean for marine life isn’t enough, clean-up participants will each receive one drawing ticket for a chance to win a several awesome prizes, including a sea turtle adoption and plushie! Clean-up will begin at 9:00am on the back deck of LMC and last until 10:00am. Debris removed from all clean-up efforts get sorted, recorded and properly disposed by our amazing Sorting Team. Tim Burke is Publisher of The Palm Beach Post and Palm Beach Daily News, and the Multi-Market Vice President for Content for Cox Media Group’s four newspapers, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Austin American Statesman, Dayton Daily News and The Post. Burke worked previously at The Miami Herald, Dallas Times Herald and Springfield (Mo.) News-Leader. At The Post, he also has served as its Executive Editor, Vice President of Digital Media, Deputy Managing Editor, Assistant Managing Editor and Executive Sports Editor. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism, and currently a board member of the Florida Press Association, Economic Council of Palm Beach County, Southern Newspapers Publishers Association, Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, and Pathfinder’s Scholarship Awards; and a trustee for the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. Tim is a native of Los Angeles. He and his wife, Karen, live in Jupiter, and have two daughters: Brenna, a University of Florida graduate and a teacher in Palm Beach County; and Riley, a junior at Columbia University in New York.

Listen as a Manatee Master storyteller reads from colorful books to tell stories about the amazing aquatic species that live in the Lake Worth Lagoon. Usually, a coloring or craft activity reinforcing the story theme is included. Children ages 2 to 5 are welcome. Manatee Lagoon requires that parents stay on site. 3rd Thursday Art Reception
Stroll our spectacular sizzling summer exhibition, Drawn to the Arts, with a glass of cool white wine, a plate of tantalizing hors d’oeuvres, and toe tapping show tunes performed by our special guests from the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Youth Touring Company. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Youth Touring Company is comprised of a select group of 30 students in grades 5-12 who perform throughout the community in a variety of settings. Their goal is to create inspiring performances that entertain audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Through rehearsals and performances, their cast members experience increased self-confidence, improved team building skills, and the opportunity to participate in peer to peer guidance. Pilates/Rollology Class
The Pilates and foam rolling class will be taught by Alyson Limehouse who has taught hundreds of people over her career. She currently teaches on Palm Beach and does private classes throughout the area. Along with being a certified Pilates teacher and owner operator of her own Sunset Pilates business for many years, she began teaching foam roller group classes in 2009. She also certifies rollology instructors. Her class at Manatee Lagoon will offer a combination of both Pilates and rollology. We are looking for Breast Cancer Survivors to join Team SOS PBC (Save Our Sisters Palm Beach County) Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team. Palm Beach County’s First and Only Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team.
Our Mission: To promote a healthy, active lifestyle and provide organized opportunities for physical fitness, wellness education, and psycho-social empowerment among Breast Cancer Survivors and their supporters through the sport of dragon boating.
Team SOS PBC members are from all walks of life and range in age from 30s to 70s with varied interests and fitness levels. Each of us is a powerful example that women can lead a full and vigorous life after treatment for breast cancer. SOS PBC offers an active, health-giving, life affirming opportunity for breast cancer survivors. We are a survivor group whose focus is on living, rather than on the disease that brought us together.
No experience necessary—we will train you!

Sunset Celebration
The Lake Park Harbor Marina will host its monthly SUNSET CELEBRATION on FRIDAY, JULY 28TH, beginning at 6 p.m. with Happy Hour and the fun lasting until 9 p.m. This month’s event will feature music from Memory Lane one of the best Motown bands around! The band will bring some of the most popular Motown, 80’s soul, Disco and Doo-Wop tunes that will transport you to the wonderful years of yesterday.
