John Dela Cruz, widely recognized by fans around the globe as Nurse John, is a stand-up comedian born in the Philippines and now based in Los Angeles, CA.  An actual nurse by profession turned viral creator, John is a comedian by heart; his comedy feels like talking to your work bestie, as his portrayals of life working in healthcare have proven to be hilariously relatable to those both in and out of the healthcare industry.

His debut comedy tour, ‘The Short-Staffed Tour,’ was an instant success, selling out more than 250,000 tickets nearly instantly, across more than 200 shows in the last year and a half. John sold out the 2026 spring UK extension of his tour, which included 22 shows across Europe, including the iconic OVO Wembley Arena in London. He recently announced the Asia extension as well, which includes the MOA Arena. This follows the comedian selling out over 25 back-to-back shows across Australia (including the ICC in Sydney) and New Zealand in fall 2025, in addition to headlining shows at major festivals like Netflix Is a Joke, New York Comedy Festival and Just For Laughs.
