Name: Friends of the Arts of Juno Beach - Under the Sea Art Exhibition
Date: June 6, 2025 - August 13, 2025
Event Description:
Friends of the Arts of Juno Beach presents “Under the Sea” art exhibition featuring abstract paintings by Scott Klimek and underwater photography by Gabriel Jensen, whose artwork captures the essence of the vibrant marine life found beneath the sea. The exhibition will be held at the Juno Beach Town Center from June 6th to August 13th with an opening night artist’s reception on Friday, June 6th.

The artists that will be showcased are:

Scott Klimek
Scott Klimek’s abstract paintings are inspired by the vibrant marine life he first encountered while SCUBA diving in the coastal waters of South Florida. That early experience sparked a creative journey that continues to evolve through his explorations of local favorite spots like Coral Cove, Blue Heron Bridge, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, and even beneath the Juno Pier during a marine debris cleanup dive. In addition to firsthand encounters, Scott draws inspiration from the incredible work of underwater photographers like Gabriel Jensen, whose detailed imagery reveals the striking beauty and complexity of marine life. Blending his background in architecture and diving, Scott’s work celebrates the intricate forms and patterns of underwater ecosystems, inviting viewers to look closer and discover the beauty and function woven into nature’s design.

Gabriel Jensen
Gabriel Jensen is the 2025 Underwater Close Up Photographer of the Year, an internationally published underwater photographer, biochemist, and photonaturalist. His award-winning images highlighting the exotic underwater microfauna of Florida’s urban waterways have been featured by Forbes, NOAA, REEF, BBC Wildlife, Smithsonian Magazine, and National Geographic Wild. As a board member of the South Florida Underwater Photography Society, he works to connect local underwater image makers and empower them to be ambassadors for our oceans.

The public is invited to the opening night reception which will be held at the Juno Beach Town Center, located at 340 Ocean Drive in Juno Beach, on Friday, June 6th from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Guests will be able to view the artwork, enjoy live bongo drum music by Mike Schwartz, as well as learn about coral conservation from The Reef Institute. Donations to The Reef Institute will also be accepted at the event.

The event is free to attend and complimentary refreshments will be available. Parking is available at the Town Center.

RSVP to junobeacharts@gmail.com requested. The artwork will be on display at the Town Center through August 13th.
