Arts & Culture Panel Luncheon, hosted by the Young Professionals Council


Join us in the brand new Island Theatre on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 to hear from our insightful panelists about the exciting world of arts & culture in the Palm Beach North region! This event brings together local artists, cultural leaders, and community influencers to explore Palm Beach North's rich creative landscape. We'll discuss the the intersection of art and community, the role of cultural heritage in shaping local identity, and the impact of the arts on economic development. 

This event is open to all! You do not need to be a Young Professional to attend.

Moderator: 
Andrew Kato, Producing Artistic Director, Maltz Jupiter Theatre

Andrew Kato is celebrating his eighteenth season at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre as the Producing Artistic Director/Chief Executive. During his tenure, he has produced over 70 productions and subscriptions have grown to over 8,000 patrons. Overall attendance has grown to nearly 100,000 guests annually, securing the Theatre to be one of the most successful regional theatres in the southeast.

Andrew was the Creative Consultant/Coordinating Producer on the Tony Awards® for 13 years. He was a Producing Associate on the Broadway productions of Jelly’s Last Jam, Angels in America and the off-Broadway production of Cryptogram. Andrew conceived and developed several musicals, including: Switch!, Academy, 1001 Nights, Street Songs, Diva Diaries, and Through the Looking Glass.

Andrew received the 2012 Council’s Choice Muse Award from the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, the 2013 Silver Palm Award from the South Florida Theatre League for Outstanding Contribution, and the 2019 Richard G. Fallon Award for Excellence in Professional Theatre. Andrew has been honored as a Leader of Distinction by Florida Weekly and one of Palm Beach County’s 100 Most Influential Business Leaders by Palm Beach Illustrated three years in a row. He is a proud graduate of Florida State University and member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers (SDC).

Jeni Licata, Executive Director of Lighthouse ArtCenter


Born and raised in Florida, Jeni Licata, BSc Psychology, started her career at Sandy Pines Residential Treatment Center. Jeni was immediately drawn to its art therapy department and the use of art as a tool for health and well-being. In 2018, Jeni joined Lighthouse ArtCenter as an art instructor. Her natural leadership skills were quickly noticed. In 2020, she was promoted to Co-Director of Education, and in 2021 was appointed by the Board of Directors to be the Executive Director. Jeni completed The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship’s Nonprofit Executive Program in 2022. Jeni has been instrumental in the growth of Art for All, Lighthouse ArtCenter’s art outreach programming. A nature enthusiast, Jeni enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, hiking, gardening, and snowboarding.

Andy Dehart, President and of CEO of Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Andy Dehart serves as the President and CEO of Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, Florida. Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a world class facility that promotes the conservation of ocean ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles. The four pillars of the work at the center are Conservation, Research, Rehabilitation and Education.

Dehart has more than 30 years of experience in animal husbandry, life support operation and marine conservation initiatives. Prior to joining Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Dehart served as the Vice President of Animal Husbandry and Marine Conservation at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami, Florida. He has opened three world class public aquariums including the one at Frost Science as well as Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada in Toronto and the aquarium at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Nebraska. Much of Dehart’s career was spent at the National Aquarium in Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Dehart’s extensive knowledge of sharks has led him to serve as Shark Advisor for the Discovery Channel. He has appeared on all national news networks and was featured in seven Shark Week productions for the Discovery Channel. He is an avid SCUBA diver and underwater photographer.

Andy earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

A notice of cancellation must be received by e-mail within 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the event. NO verbal cancellations will be accepted. Cancellations under 48 hours prior to the event, will NOT receive event credit in order to solidify attendance numbers with the event venue. All cancellation notices received BEFORE 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the event will be given an event credit of equal value. Event credits will be applied upon request and are good for up to 1 year from the purchase date. There are NO REFUNDS.
