Event Description:
Keiser University will hold its unveiling the latest in flexion distraction table technology on Thursday February 22nd, 2018 at 5:30pm at its College of Chiropractic Medicine 2081 Vista Parkway, West Palm Beach, Florida campus. Keiser University College of Chiropractic Medicine is delighted to showcase its state of-the-art Cox 8 Flexion Distraction Decompression table. A gift of Keiser University Professor Dr. Ralph Kruse and Haven Innovation, the Cox 8 Table is developed to address spinal concerns from neck to lower back, allow mobilization in all spinal ranges of motion, and provide opportunities for full spinal application. • From low back and leg pain (sciatica), to neck and arm pain (cervical radiculopathy), to post-surgical continued pain to pain related to pregnancy, the Cox Flexion Distraction’s published articles list is constantly increasing with satisfying patient outcomes and documented biomechanical and physiologic changes. • This unique Cox 8 force table is the first of its kind and the only one currently used in a university in the United States. The real-time force measurement feature will be a valuable educational tool for students to administer appropriate and reproducible forces during chiropractic manipulative procedures. • Dr. Kruse, under the guidance of Dr. Michael Wiles, Dean of Keiser University’s College of Chiropractic Medicine, is working on a research project with the department’s faculty focusing on the treatment of lower back pain using data gathered by the computer system embedded in the Cox8 Force table. “We are extremely excited to have this advanced table made specifically for Keiser University’s College of Chiropractic Medical students and faculty to assist in training future Doctors of Chiropractic. The table is amazing and its new control system is nothing short of incredible,” said Kimberly Lea, President of Keiser University’s West Palm Beach location.
